Shack's Corner

In preparation for the new UAD standards, which will take effect on September 1, 2011, the residential division of Rasberry Shackelford & Associates hosted a one day UAD seminar presented by Mel Black of BrightPath Education Services at our Kinston office.  Mel is an attorney as well as an AQB Certified USPAP instructor.  He is also the former executive director of the North Carolina Appraisal Board.

Our firm is dedicated to providing our clients with top quality appraisals and customer service. A key part of how we're able to provide quality appraisals to our clients is our firm's dedication to quality education courses.  Mel Black is an excellent instructor and our appraisers came out of the seminar with a solid understanding of the changes in order to ensure a smooth transition for our clients.

In addition, our software vendor, Wintotal, has made their new software very easy for the appraiser to understand and meet the new requirements.  Built in to the software are many pop-ups and explanations as well as warnings when a field has been completed in an incorrect format, which will allow our firm to provide a timely report in an efficient manner to our clients.
