Rasberry Shackelford & Associates Appraisers Attend UAD Course
Kinston, NC, July 29, 2011 In preparation for the new UAD standards, which will take effect on September 1, 2011, the residential division of Rasberry Shackelford & Associates hosted a one day UAD seminar presented by Mel Black of BrightPath Education Services.

The UAD (Uniform Appraisal Dataset) is being implemented to improve the quality and consistency of appraisal data on loans delivered to the GSEs, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The primary difference for appraisals is a standardization of terms and formatting of fields to be more consistent from appraiser to appraiser. All appraisal reports with an effective date of September 1, 2011 or later will be required to be in compliance with UAD standards.

Rasberry Shackelford & Associates Awarded Greene County Revaluation
Greenville, NC, February 27, 2011 At the February 7, 2011 Greene County Board of Commissioners meeting, commissioners voted unanimously to award the 2013 Greene County Revaluation to Rasberry Shackelford & Associates
"We are very pleased that the commissioners recognized our expertise in addition to the cost savings we're able to pass along to the county due to our being a local firm," said Jay Shackelford of Rasberry Shackelford & Associates. "We are looking forward to working with Greene County in providing them with a top quality revaluation.''
As part of the revaluation, all improved parcels, totaling approximately 7,000 properties, will have to be inspected. Inspections are expected to commence in early April of 2011 and be completed by July of 2012 according to Shackelford.
