In the latest Eastern North Carolina Home Sales Index, pending sales, a key indicator of sales that will take place over the next 30-45 days, rose 6.3% over the previous month. The number of pending sales at the beginning of February was 1,293 as compared to the beginning of January, which was at 1,216.

The number of pending sales rose in 6 of the 11 markets in the ENCHSI, while remaining stable in 2 others. The largest decrease was 14.4% in Wayne County, while the largest increase was 33.3% in Lenoir County.
