In the latest Eastern North Carolina Home Sales Index, pending sales, a key indicator of sales that will take place over the next 30-45 days, rose 15.2% over the previous month. The number of pending sales at the beginning of March was 1,489 as compared to the beginning of February, which was at 1,293.

The number of pending sales rose in 10 of the 11 markets in the ENCHSI. The only market with a drop in pending sales this month was Onslow County, with a drop of 11.1%. The largest increase was 104.5% in the Northeastern Counties.

The Eastern North Carolina Home Sales Index includes the following counties: Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Lenoir, Nash, the Northeastern Counties, (Camden, Chowan, Pasquotank, and Perquimans) Onslow, the Outer Banks, (Dare and Currituck) Pitt, Wayne, and Wilson.
