Shack's Corner

In the latest Eastern North Carolina Home Sales Index, pending sales, a key indicator of sales that will take place over the next 30-45 days, fell 11.4% over the previous month. The number of pending sales at the beginning of January was 1,216 compared to the beginning of December, which was at 1,372.


10 of the 11 markets in the ENCHSI saw drops this month. Wayne County was the only county which saw increased pending sales this month. Wayne County pending sales increased 10% over the previous month, while the largest decrease was 21% in the Northeastern Counties.
